Improperly aligned teeth can cause problems ranging from headaches to faulty hearing and can also cause digestive problems affecting overall health. The choice for a deep overbite is orthodontics and in situations where orthodontics is not indicated, raising the bite by placement of crowns and subsequent correction of anterior teeth is the right procedure.

The proclination of teeth can be corrected by wearing a removable or a fixed brace. The same can be achieved by placement of crowns or composite bonding once the new position, size and shape is assessed.

Anterior open bite with proclination and flaring of teeth, is ideally corrected with orthodontics. Alternatively, crown lengthening and bonding can achieve the same result to certain extent.
