Spaces between teeth can be corrected with either
repositioning the teeth with orthodontics; restoring through bonding, ceramic laminates or
crowns.
Bonding is a highly effective treatment where composite
resin or ceramic laminates are applied to the teeth to make them wider in areas where gaps
exist. This procedure can be performed without anaesthesia.
Although orthodontic treatment takes
between six months and two years, it has the advantage of leaving natural teeth intact. In
cases where the teeth are badly damaged, crowns and bridges are often appropriate and
lasts twice as long as bonding and laminates.
